Dave’s soccer career started in the German youth league, where he played on a team from a U.S. Army base. Dave then moved to Olympia, Washington, where he was a four year varsity starter, two year team captain, four year all-league selection, league player of the year, and two time all-state selection while playing for Olympia High School. He played youth soccer for the Tacoma Rovers Soccer Club, which won two state championships.
Dave was a three-year starter for Princeton University, where he played under Bob Bradley, the current U.S. Men’s National Team Coach. After college, Dave continued to play in a variety of competitive adult leagues, but turned his main attention to coaching. He has almost 20 years of coaching experience, including boys’ club teams from U-6 recreational through U-17 Premier, and boy’s and girl’s high school teams. Dave currently holds a USSA “E” License.
Dave attended the University of Washington School of Law, and is now an attorney in private practice on Maui.
